As y’all know, I LOVE my boys and spending every day with them. But…. mama needed a little summer weekend getaway.
Matt and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this year, so we decided to take a little trip to a country cottage!
This was such a fun little trip out in the country so I thought I’d tell you all about it!
1. The Cottage on the Farm
First of all , this AirBnB was so great! The views were so amazing. Pine Valley at Dillard Mill had such great hosts and adorable and amazing amenities! The little farm is tucked away in Davisville, MO just south of Cuba, MO.
They have several different places to stay on the property. Besides our adorable cottage, they have several RVs abatable to rent as well!
The AirBnB was also pet friendly so of course we brought Bentley along with us. He had a blast!
On our first day at the farm, we went kayaking on the Huzzah River. We had a blast going to Huzzah Valley Resort .
And of course, we brought Bentley along too!
The resort has canoes, kayaks and river rafts to rent for float trips! So much fun! They have camp grounds and cabins to rent as well. Such a great camping resort!
On our AirBnB’s property, was a beautiful state park that had an old water mill.
Dillard Mill was such a beautiful state park and site to go see!
We ate at several different places on our getaway.
Sybill’s in St. James was one of the most beautiful restaurants I’ve ever been to!
The property is stunning and they have an adorable gift shop!
It was filled with so much charm! There was even a sweet little family of cats that lived under their porch. SO sweet!
The restaurant is also partnered with an art gallery so the walls (and even the bathrooms!) are filled with gorgeous pieces!
Also in St. James, there are some amazing Wineries !Be sure to check them out if they’re ever in the area!
All of their food was incredible! If you are a BBQ fan, be sure to stop by!!!
